Duties & Clearance
As outlined for each product, customers are responsible for paying any duties for shipments to the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Czech Republic, and select Middle Eastern countries; Mei Foods will not cover these costs. Customs duties will apply in these countries. For all other countries, customers are also responsible for paying duty taxes. Mei Foods will assist customers with customs clearance procedures
In some cases, particularly for countries like Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, France, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Czech Republic, Thailand, and Germany, delivery may take up to 20 days from the dispatch date due to customs clearance processes. Unfortunately, expediting this process is beyond our control. However, Mei Foods will keep you informed throughout the clearance process by providing tracking information.
Please be aware that milk sweets and dairy products such as Ghee cannot be shipped to the UK or any European countries due to customs regulations. If an order from Europe contains milk-based products, we regret to inform you that we cannot fulfill that part of the order. In such instances, we will offer an alternative product or provide a refund within 5 business days if an alternative is not available. This restriction applies exclusively to European countries.
Please note that products containing nuts cannot be shipped to the UK due to the strict customs regulations in place. If an order from the UK includes products containing nuts, we regret to inform you that we cannot fulfill that part of the order. In such cases, we will offer an alternative product or provide a refund within 5 business days if an alternative is unavailable. This restriction applies specifically to the UK.
